New Patients
At Joint Effort, your goals become our goals. The process of reaching your goals can be intimidating in an unfamiliar setting; this information was therefore compiled to let you know what you can expect as a new patient of Joint Effort. In addition to providing information on why you should select us as your therapy provider, you will also find information on what to expect when visiting our clinics. Why Use Us Joint Effort has an experienced, caring staff that is willing to do what it takes to ensure your experience with us is a positive and productive one with a great outcome. Same Day Appointment Both of our locations have a "Same Day Appointment" policy; therefore we are able to start your therapy when you are ready. We also offer early morning and evening appointments to allow greater convenience around your schedule. Experienced Staff At Joint Effort a caring touch is used by each of our experienced therapists. We utilize a unique team approach with treatment to ensure an effective outcome for each of our patients without sacrificing the one-on-one relationship for which we are known. Team Approach Joint Effort has a highly trained staff that works together daily and discusses the best treatment option for each patient. Your primary therapist will continue to direct your care to maintain a consistent one-on-one relationship and monitor your progress. Quality Care We ensure that appropriate time is allotted for each appointment so that effective care is provided to each patient. Unlike many other clinics, we do not believe in the enforcement of quotas in the number of patients each therapist treats. This is evident through the results and quality of our care, as well as the satisfaction of our patients. What To Expect At Joint Effort, our friendly staff facilitates making the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. Upon Arrival Our office staff will greet you and assist you with required paperwork, as well as inform you regarding your personal insurance coverage and obligations. Plan on arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment for the paperwork process, or complete the forms in advance by referring to the Helpful Forms page. Length of Session Please allow up to one hour for your initial visit, and 30-45 minutes for follow-up appointments. Appropriate Attire We recommend wearing or bringing comfortable clothing and shoes to your office visit; however, Joint Effort keeps gowns and shorts available for your convenience when needed. Evaluation After completing your check-in process, you will be introduced to your therapist and proceed to a treatment room. Your therapist will review your medical history, perform an evaluation of your current injury or diagnosis, and determine an individualized treatment plan. Treatment Based on the findings of your evaluation, treatment will be initiated during your first visit. Your therapist will also educate you regarding care/prevention of your condition at home or work. Your therapist will inform you if further visits will be required for your condition, and recommend an expected frequency and duration for treatment. Physician Updates If referred to us by a physician, your physical therapist will communicate frequently with your physician regarding evaluation findings, treatment plans, and your progress. This allows for an interdisciplinary team approach to your care. |
