Current Patients
Upon initiating the rehabilitation process, we want to ensure that all of our patients focus their time and energy on what's important - their recovery. We believe taking care of the small details is our job. Insurance Authorization We realize that insurance benefits and coverage can be confusing and intimidating. Therefore, we gladly handle correspondence with your insurance company in order to obtain authorization for therapy services. Prior to your first visit, our staff will inform you of your financial responsibility (i.e. deductible, co-pay, or coinsurance payment), if any. After determining how many therapy sessions are authorized for your current condition, we monitor this closely and will help obtain authorization for additional visits as needed. Physician Updates Your therapist will frequently correspond with your physician in order to provide updates regarding your current progress, treatment methods, and treatment plan. This open communication allows the therapist and physician to choose the optimal plan for your care. Direct Access Colorado is considered a "Direct Access" State for Physical Therapy services. This means that by law, a physician prescription is not required in order to receive physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Insurance companies, however, often require a physician prescription before they will authorize rehabilitation services. Many of our self pay patients choose to access us directly. |
